Embrace Living is a Great Place to Work

Embrace Living Communities is proud to be named one of the best workplaces in the country by Great Place to Work for the seventh year in a row. The honor was based on the results of a nationwide survey that revealed 81% of our staff believe our affordable housing communities are a “great place to work.”

From CEO Ralph Gaines to the management teams, maintenance workers and service coordinators at our 29 communities, our staff is making an impact and knows it. The survey results echo this: 93% say they feel a sense of pride in their work and are proud to tell others about their job.

Here are just a few things employees had to say about working at Embrace Living:

“I am very happy with the team I work with in my building. These people know how to work together and encourage one another to continue being the best we can be for our residents.”

“Everybody tries to help one another, and not necessarily at just one location. I can call someone from a different community and tell them I need help with something, and they are willing to help in some way.”

“This company has a genuine passion for its team members… The leadership provides a solid foundation that sets up staff for success. Their presence, availability and willingness to listen and truly work with staff is outstanding!”

Perhaps the strongest testament to our workplace culture is that 58 of our 138 employees have been here for over a decade. Beyond having supportive co-workers, we know our employees stay because of the bonds they form with the inspiring, wise and lionhearted residents they get to serve and learn from day in and day out. So, thank you to our residents for making Embrace Living Communities such a joyful and meaningful place to work. And, thank you to our fellow employees for supporting each other in our common mission to create a society where all actively aging adults have affordable, welcoming homes.

“It’s a special culture that dedicates itself every day to a mission that ensures a life of dignity and community for very low-income seniors and people with disabilities,” says Gaines. “We are honored that Fortune has recognized our efforts and named us on the list and thank all of our team members for their commitment and dedication.”
