Embrace Living Communities (ELC) marks 130 years of providing affordable housing and supportive services for older adults and people with disabilities. ELC owns and operates 29 affordable housing communities across Illinois, Florida, and Missouri — including 24 in the greater Chicago region — serving ~2,500 residents. Most of our residents live on fixed incomes and face challenges related to housing insecurity, chronic health conditions, or limited access to care.

Our community employees are committed to providing a safe, affordable and welcoming environment where anyone can live an active and dignified life as they age.
“Moving to Orchard Place of Sarasota (Florida) is the biggest difference in the whole wide world”, Kim exclaims when discussing her prior housing situation. There, she often felt isolated and alone, and the environment was drug infested and crowded with security guards. It wasn’t until she visited her parents in nearby Venice Beach that she found the Orchard Place of Sarasota community and uncovered the peace she was looking for… and deserved.
