OAK BROOK, IL (June 3, 2021) – For the fourth year in a row, Great Place to Work® has named Embrace Living Communities as one of the best workplaces in the country, recognizing it as one of Chicago’s top small to medium-sized companies. This is based on a 60-question survey taken by Embrace Living employees in which 93% said that Embrace Living was a great place to work, compared to 59% at the “typical company.”
“At Embrace Living, we pride ourselves on facilitating a healthy and welcoming culture, not only between our team members but between team members and residents as well,” says Ralph Gaines, CEO of Embrace Living. “This is part of why our team loves working at Embrace Living so much: it truly feels like a family.”
Other statistics related to the Embrace Living employees’ survey responses included: 98% of employees saying they feel they make a difference through their work; 97% said they felt welcomed when they joined the company; and 96% said that their work had special meaning beyond being “just a job.”
In their responses, the word that came up the most was “residents,” reflecting a resident-focused culture that contributes to Embrace Living not only being one of the top places to work in aging services, but also one of the top organizations in developing and managing affordable housing for active seniors.
“Residents are at the forefront of all we do,” says Gaines. “It’s evident how deeply our team cares for them, and it’s reflected in the results of this survey. I’m so proud of our team, especially coming off of a pandemic. Their commitment did not falter, and it shows in the culture of care we’ve maintained at all of our communities.”
